Well, I did it. I finally got around to getting decent copies of most of my art up. I got everything that would fit in the scanner. All the bigger stuff will have to wait until I get around to photographing them. So I updated all of my old posts with the bigger and better images. I also put them all up on my Facebook page if anyone is interested in going over there and giving it a like. *wink-wink hint-hint*

Gonna start another piece here since I finished my dead Nefertiti thing. I was really happy with this one. Guess what the next one’s gonna be of? Yep, you guessed it. Marilyn Manson. You’d think I’m entirely obsessed with him seeing as he’s the subject of a lot of my recent work. As it turns out, I am a fan but it’s really the images that I love. It’s all the high contrast and vibrant colors that lend themselves so well to my style of marker work. I will do the Davey Havok portrait after I finish the newest Manson piece.

That’s about it from me for now. Nothing else new or exciting. Just art and books lately.

Dem Romantic Feels

Here’s two small bits of writing that I’ve done recently. They’re all kinds of mushy-romantic-cute.

The first:

Your love hit me

Like a strong drink,

Warm in my stomach.

Like a cool breeze on a summer day

Or a freezing autumn rain,

You steal the breath out of me.

You are the answer

To every question I have ever had.

And the other:

Your fingertips on my skin

Sets my mind on fire.

Your tongue around my neck

Sucks the air from my lungs.

Your eyes searching my body

Drains the blood from my veins.

Your lips pressed to mine

Pulls the sense out of me.
